Children's Faith Formation

Children's Faith Formation Program (CFF)

Parents have first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues. (Catechism of the Catholic Church  2223.)

Our mission is to support all parish parents with the religious education of their children. We encourage our families to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, pray together and to be involved with parish activities, and perform community service.  We offer catechetical programs for Pre-School and Kindergarten, Grades 1-8, and Sacramental Preparation classes for those interested in making their First Penance and receiving First Holy Communion.

Pre-School and Kindergarten Program

Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

We invite students who are 3-5 years old to join us in the Lower Church on Sundays at 9:20 AM to receive an introduction to our Catholic faith. Volunteers, many of whom are qualified teachers, share with the children the very basics of our faith. Children learn about God and creation, Our Mother Mary and the Saints. They are introduced to simple prayers (eg. Sign of the Cross, Glory be, O Angel of God). Children work on art projects, listen to some of the well-known Bible stories, sing songs and share with one another. Parents are encouraged to register their children for this fun class, and registration is ongoing throughout the year. Please click on the links to download a registration form and the 2019-2020 school calendar if you are interested in enrolling your children.
